Facility/Consumer Base

LakeView RecPlex & IcePlex combine to create one of the largest municipal facilities in the country!

RecPlex and IcePlex are located on the shore of Lake Andrea, inside Prairie Springs Park in Pleasant Prairie, Wiscon¬sin. RecPlex has recently completed a 42,138 sq. ft. expansion to its facility, in addition to constructing IcePlex, a 79,069 sq. ft. ice arena with two – NHL sized skating rinks. RecPlex and IcePlex are open year-round to the general public and together make a truly family-oriented recreation destination. Operated by the Village of Pleasant Prairie Parks and Rec¬reation Department, the facilities have a combined square footage of over 260,000 and include four main activity areas: an aquatic center, fitness center, athletic fieldhouse and ice arena. RecPlex is a membership driven facility. Day passes are available. IcePlex is open to the general public. A wide variety of rec¬reation, sports and fitness classes and programs are available year round.

RecPlex, IcePlex and Prairie Springs Park are highly visible community resources that draw a consumer base from the sur-rounding communities of:

  • Kenosha County
  • Lake County
  • Racine County

Located in the Village of Pleasant Prairie, within a 15 mile radius of our location, you will find:

  • A medium household income of $56,754
  • 31% of households have children, youth and/or teens.

The RecPlex membership base consists of over 14,000 individuals and 4,500 house¬holds in our service area, and are broken down into four classifications:

  • 29% Pleasant Prairie Residents
  • 51% Kenosha County and Wisconsin Residents
  • 9% Northeastern Illinois and Out of State Residents
  • 11% Corporate Members and Village Employees

Special Events

The Village of Pleasant Prairie, RecPlex and IcePlex manage and host several large and small events annually including our ever-growing community festival, “Prairie Family Days” and three regional triathlons, Danskin Women’s Triathlon – Chicagoland, Pleasant Prairie Junior Triathlon and the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon. In addition, we offer a balanced array of events that appeal to families, health-minded individuals and children of all ages: Polar Bear Plunge, Pleasant Prairie Family Walk/Run, Hallow¬een Fest, Breakfast with Santa, New Year’s Eve Night at the ‘Plex, as well as local and regional events.

Most of the special events that we manage offer various levels of sponsor-partnership opportunities. Our Youth Sports Programs are also an excellent, cost-effective way to gain exposure to our members, guests, program participants and spectators.

Many avenues exist within RecPlex and IcePlex to advertise and gain exposure to the over 14,000+ members and thousands of guests who visit the facility on a monthly basis. The following paid advertising op¬portunities are available:

Pleasant Prairie IcePlex Operating since October 1, 2004, IcePlex is a state-of-the-art, two-surface ice arena offering commu-nity-based ice programs, such as: public skating sessions, learn-to-skate classes, figure skating lessons, youth and adult hockey and special ice events.
